The 203rd Jewish settlement to be established by the Jewish National Fund was formally opened today at Kfar Monash on over 300 acres near the colony of Nathanya.
The settlement, which was started by 100 families with a capital budget of $132,000, has been organized by former members of the 534th Palestine Field Survey Company. The new veterans’ community is named for Sir John Monash, first Jew to attain the rank of general in England. Sir John was the first Australian to lead Australian troops in France in the first World War.
