Epstein Lodge No. 134, Independent Order Brith Abraham, celebrates its fortieth anniversary tonight (Sunday) at Astoria Mansion, 62 East Fourth street. Samuel Goldstein, first deputy grand master, will greet the lodge in the name of the grand master, Max Silverstein, and install the new officers.
An exhibition of paintings and drawings by Saul Raskin opens this afternoon (Sunday) at the Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst, Bay parkway and Seventy-ninth street, Brooklyn. The works are studies of Jewish life. The exhibition will end March 25.
Arthur Guiterman is the author of a dramatic poem depicting the work of the twenty-five agencies affiliated with the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities. The poem will be presented as one of the features of the fifth annual luncheon of the women’s division of the federation April 10 at the Hotel St. George, Brooklyn.
M. J. Beer, president of the Youth Zionist-Revisionist Organization of America, will address the Borough Park branch of the society at the Y.M.H.A., Forty-ninth street and Fourteenth avenue, Brooklyn, at 4:00 p. m. today (Sunday). Murray Dickstein, executive secretary of the group, will speak at 8:00 p. m. at the Pennsylvania Talmud Torah, Pennsylvania and New Lots avenues, Brooklyn.
