Miss Miriam Raphael, treasurer of New York City Young Judaea, will be the guest of honor at a reception tonight (Sunday) by the leaders’ council of the organization. Moses Plotkin will be guest speaker at the reception, to be held at the Grand Street Boys’ Clubhouse, 105 West Fifty-fifth street.
A supper dance will be held April 6 by the youth division of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies. Oscar Merber is chairman of the committee on arrangements.
The annual dance of the Brooklyn Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association was to be held Saturday night at the Hotel Bossert, Brooklyn. Assemblyman Albert Schanzer is president of the organization.
The Metropolitan branch of the Women’s League of the United Synagogue will hold a convention tomorrow at the Brooklyn Jewish Center, 667 Eastern parkway. Miss Adele Bildersee, dean of women at Brooklyn College, will speak on “Adult Education and Its Relation to the Child.” Rabbi Israel Levinthal of the Brooklyn Jewish Center will speak on “Conservative Judaism and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.” Mrs. Israel Davidson will be chairman.
