A garden party in the interest of the Greater New York campaign of the United Jewish Appeal will be held at the home of Mrs. Joseph Stroock, 998 Fifth Avenue, on Thursday afternoon, June 6, it was announced yesterday by Mrs. Richard Percy Limburg, chairman. Others who will address the gathering are Mrs. Felix M. Warburg, Mrs. Roger W. Straus. Mrs. Max J. H. Rossbach, Mrs. Joseph Brettauer, Mrs. Abram I. Elkus and Mrs. David E. Goldfarb.
Dr. Bernard Marton will be officially inducted as Chief Rabbi at the Sea Gate Sisterhood and Talmud Torah of the Congregation Sharei Zedew in Coney Island on Sunday. Dr. Marton arrived here from Czecho-Slovakia about a year ago. He is president of the American Association of Hungarian Jews.
