New York Gov. George Pataki is slated to join Jewish officials Aug. 17 to describe how Holocaust survivors in the United States can apply for payments from a Swiss humanitarian fund. They are expected to announce a toll-free number for those seeking an application. Some $32 million of the $170 million fund created last year by Swiss banks is slated to be distributed in the United States.
