Governor Nelson A, Rockefeller yesterday presented the New York State flag to leaders of Hadassah. The flag will be included in an “Avenue of American State Flags” at the dedication August 3 of the new $25,000,000 Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center on the outskirts of Jerusalem.
Governor Rockefeller, in presenting the flag to Mrs. Herman Shulman, paid tribute to Hadassah as an organization “dedicated to advancing the frontiers of healing, teaching and medical research, not only to Israel but for science and all mankind.” Participating with Mrs. Shulman in the ceremony were Dr. Miriam K.Freund, national president of Hadassah; Mr. Abraham Tulin, national chairman of the organization’s Medical Center Committee and Mrs. Nathan D. Perlman, national chairman of the Medical Organization Committee.
