New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani refused to accept a $10 million check from a Saudi prince earmarked for Sept. 11 relief efforts after the visiting dignitary said the terrorist attack should cause America to “adopt a more balanced stance toward the Palestinian cause.” Giuliani said the remarks and linkage made by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, issued after he toured Ground Zero in New York, were “part of the problem” that led to the terrorist attacks.
