The New York State Industrial Union Council which represents the C.I.O. unions of New York State, has adopted a resolution endorsing “the important activities of ORT,” it was announced today. The resolution also calls upon its affiliated unions to give their fullest support to this organization which maintains hundreds of trade schools, workshops and farm colonies in various parts of the world.
At a recent conference of prominent trade union leaders, both the C.I.O. and A.F. of L., a decision was adopted to raise a fund of $75,000 for ORT among New York trade unions.
