The New York Yiddish daily “The Day-Jewish Journal” today announced that a weekly digest of its news and features is now appearing in Hebrew in Israel as a supplement to the Tel Aviv evening paper “Maariv,” which has the largest circulation in the Jewish State.
The announcement was made by Solomon Dingol, editor of “The Day-Jewish Journal,” who said that the first issue of the supplement, which appeared last week-end, carried articles from leaders of most of the political parties in Israel as well as the best articles of the week from The Day-Morning Journal. It also carried greetings from Morris Welnberg, publisher of the paper, with whom the idea of the supplement originated.
