New York’s delegates to the American Jewish Congress which will convene in Washington, October 19th, will be elected at a conference of representatives of Jewish organizations which will be held this afternoon at the Hotel Pennsylvania.
All Jewish societies, lodges, and synagogues have been invited to send representatives to the conference. In addition to arranging for the election of delegates to the Congress, the conference will form a permanent district organization and elect officers and an executive committee to cooperate in the activities of the American Jewish Congress throughout the year. The conference will be addressed by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Bernard S. Deutsch, Nathan D. Perlman and Bernard G. Richards. Herman G. Robbins will preside.
