The Army chaplainship is initiating a special course in Jewish studies for Israeli soldiers about to convert to Judaism. Rabbis and professors will provide intensive instruction for the candidates for conversion. The soldiers prefer to be converted while in the service, because the civilian procedure is much lengthier.
