A meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Council of Jewish Women has been called by Mrs. Maurice L. Goldman, chairman, for Sunday, October 8, at National Headquarters in New York City. Mrs. Arthur Brin, National President, is coming East especially for this meeting in order to confer with the Executive Committee on many vital problems, notably, the world Jewish situation, cooperation in the present economic and re-employment program, and activities in behalf and in support of the Disarmament Conference, and a Membership Campaign.
JUNIORS IN CONVENTION
The National Council of Jewish Juniors, which is auxiliary to the National Council of Jewish Women, is holding its Biennial Convention in St. Louis, October 22 to 26. More than 8,000 young Jewish women will be represented by delegates coming from all parts of the country. Of special interest at this Convention will be future plans regarding the Cuban Sheltering Home for Women and Children, which the National Juniors have been supporting so successfully for many years.
GOOD WILL MEETINGS
The National Conference of Jews and Christians, through its director, Everett R. Clinchy, has called upon the National Council of Jewish Women for cooperation in connection with its good will program of meetings to be held in twenty-odd states from coast to coast, during the next few months. The National Council of Jewish Women is also assisting in building up a Woman’s Committee to work closely with its program.
AIDS JEWISH PAGEANT
The National Council of Jewish Women is cooperating with the management of “The Romance of a People”, and its membership in forty Sections located within a hundred-mile radius of New York have been urged to order their tickets through National Headquarters.
