Ernestine Schumann-Heink, world-famous singer, will inaugurate the People’s Civic Concerts at the Jewish People’s Institute of Chicago next Tuesday evening, March 5. Important artists are being presented under the sponsorship of Marcia Schupac and Bertha Ott. The initial series will embrace concerts by Edward Collins, Leon Samatini, Sonia Sharnova, Rudolph Reuter, Hans Hess and Tomford Harris. A second series is planned for the Spring and a third for the Summer.
