New B’nai B’rith officers were inducted here in a ceremony attended by Dr. John L. Goldberg of the American Jewish Congress of New York City, who #rged upon the lodge the necessity of a World Jewish Congress to prevent oppression of Jews. Officers installed were Milton Riskin, president; Dr. Morton Newman, vice-president; Joseph Coleman, monitor; Ben Black, guardian; Maurice Phillips, warden; O. W. Brisker, secretary; Harry Margolis, treasurer; Morris Black, John Hartman and Anton Sell, trustees.
Ludwig Lewisohn, author and lecturer, addressed the Jewish Community Center on the need for more democracy and a better understanding of the mutual problems of Judaism and Christianity.
