Next year will be the Year of Jewish Culture in the Czech Republic, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Prague Jewish Museum. There will be dozens of events, concerts, exhibitions, theater performances and publications across the country in 2006, focusing on Jewish culture and organized by numerous state and private institutions. The project is being organized under the auspices of former president Vaclav Havel, Culture Minister Vitezslav Jandak and the chairmen of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.
