Chief Rabbi Jacob Niemirower denied today having written a letter to Haj Amin el Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Palestine, advocating the rebuilding of Solomon’s temple where the Moslem Mosque of Omar now stands.
He characterized as “absolutely false” a statement to this effect made by the Arab leader in testifying last week before the Royal Commission of inquiry in Jerusalem. He cabled a similar denial to the Royal Commission.
