Nine delegates will represent Canadian Jews at the 22nd World Zionist Congress in Basle, it was announced here.
The delegation, which will be headed by Samuel J. Zacks, president of the Zionist Organization of Canada, and M. Dickstein, president of the Actions Committee of the Labor Zionists, will consist of four General Zionists, three Labor Zionists and two representatives of the Mizrachi. All have agreed to support the Jewish Agency proposal to negotiate with the British for the establishment of a “viable Jewish state in an adequate area of Palestine.”
