Nine teenagers will represent the United States and Canada at the Eleventh International Bible Contest for Jewish Youth scheduled in Jerusalem on May 11th – the date this year marking the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the Jewish State. They will be among the almost 100 contestants from all over the world participating in the contest conducted by the World Jewish Bible Society in cooperation with the Department of Education and Culture of the Jewish Agency, Bureaus of Jewish Education in the United States and Canada, and the Gadna Youth Organization in Israel. Of the nine competitors, four are from the Greater New York area; two from Toronto, Canada; and one each from the Detroit, Los Angeles and Philadelphia areas.
