Five new Jewish banks are included among nineteen new companies register here, according to the first issue of the Palestine Gazete in January, 1934 One of the banke has a capital of £1,000 and another of £,000. There is also a health company and a land insurance policy concern.
Other companies include an electroplated and metal goods factory, chemical works, textile factory, the Polish-Levant Shipping Agency, the “Sifiria Marzistit” (Marxist Library) for publications on social subjects, a candy factory, and a water intallation and disributing concern. There is only one cooperative society, a Jewish transport concern.
