Jewish community elections failed today to return expected majorities for the Jewish labor party, the Zionist or Agudath Israel blocs. As a result, difficulties are expected to be encountered by the community executive when a working majority is needed.
The Communists supported the labor bloc.
Fourteen seats in the executive went to the Jewish labor party; eleven to the Agudath Israel; ten to the General Zionists; four to the Mizrachi; two each to the Grodzis Chassidim and the right Poale-Zion; one each to the Revisionists, the Peoples Party and the left Poale-Zion and four to independents.
