The Imperial Affairs Committee, comprising Conservative members of Parliament, said in a statement today that it was unanimously of the opinion that there must be no surrender to violence in Palestine.

At a meeting presided over by Lord Winterton, the statement said, there was no disposition to blame the Government for recent Holy Land disorders in the slightest degree.

Emphasizing that law and order must be restored, the statement said that the problem was exceedingly complex and could not be solved by partisan speeches made in England.
