Noam Neusner, senior editor of U.S. News and World Report for economics and business, was appointed special assistant to the president for economic speechwriting. He assumes his duties on Nov. 12. Neusner is the grandson of the late Samuel Neusner, who founded and published the Connecticut Jewish Ledger from 1929-1960.
