Nominate Two Jews for Italian Senate

Among the newly nominated Senators were the well-known Jewish lawyer, Felici Alfredo, and the Jewish industrialist, Falck Giorgio. In Fascist Italy, the memberes of the Senate are nominated by the Fascist party and election is a more formality.

The small Italian Jewish community is well represtented in the political life of the nation. Recently a number of other prominent Jews were included in the list of nominations for the Italian Senate. The Italian pakpers have openly ridiculed the rece theories of the Nazis and extolled Italian Jews as fine and desirable citizens.
