The civil disobedience campaign in Jewish municipalities throughout Palestine was started today, when public meetings were held to discuss the allocation of $400,000 to finance Jewish immigration.
The meetings were described by Jewish Agency spokesmen as political action in which the bodies would identify themselves with both legal and illegal immigration. The municipality of Tel Aviv is expected to allocate $100,000 and the Jewish National Council $120,000.
