A number of leading non-Jews in this city addressed a request today to the city council to name a square in the newly-rebuilt center of the city for Baruch Spinoza, famed Dutch Jewish philosopher. The petition says that naming the street for Spinoza would be a fitting tribute to the 100,000 Dutch Jews deported and murdered by the Nazis.
