Beginning tomorrow, non-stop round trips will be ineugurated by the British Over seas Airways between Lydda, Palestine, and London, acroding to an announcement by Tyrol Martin, director of the British airline.
Flying time one way will take ten hours. The cost for a round trip will be approximately $380. Martin explained to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that his company will not compete with local airlines, but will extend them full assistance and technical advice.
The British Overseas Airways for the first few months will restrict itself to one flight weekly, carrying mostly mail and milicary personnel, Martin said. Civilian service, however, will gradually increase.
