Reject Nationalist Doctrine, Disclaim Zionist Representatives (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
Nationalistic tendencies prevalent among Czechoslovakian Jews were rejected in a series of resolutions adopted at a national conference of non-Zionists who formed a Federation of Czechoslovakian Jews.
The conference took place in Brunn. One of the resolutions declares that the Jews do not constitute a nationality, but must be assimilated by the peoples among whom they dwell.
A second resolution expresses protest against the attempt of Czechoslovakian Zionists to appear at international forums as the representatives of Czechoslovakian Jewry. The executive was authorized to submit a memorandum to the Czechoslovakian government on the subject.
CORRECTION
In the report of the resolution adopted by the Rabbinical Assembly of the Jewish Theological Seminary and the United Synagogue of America, the name of S. Herbert Goldstein was erroneously given as president of the United Synagogue of America. S. Herbert Golden is president of the United Synagogue.
