Cities in North Carolina are rapidly effecting organization for Allied Jewish Campaign drives in the near future. Winston-Salem’s drive will begin on May 18th, with Moses Shapiro as chairman; Morris Sosnik, vice-chairman; Ira Julian, secretary, and George Radin, treasurer.
Harris Newman is chairman of the Wilmington drive committee, with William Block as vice-chairman and Herbert Bleuthental, treasurer. In Greensboro, Julius Cone and M. H. Zauber are honorary chairmen, and the drive for $12,500 which will be held next month, will be conducted by a committee of which Walter Bernstein is chairman, Rabbi Milton Ellis, vice chairman, and Maurice Freedman, treasurer.
Lionel Weil heads the Goldsboro committee, with A. A. Joseph as treasurer.
