Dr. James Parkes, a noted Christian clergyman who has written many books on anti-Semitism, proposed today an inquiry into the degree to which the anti-Israel campaign of the Arab countries served as a medium for the dissemination of anti-Semitism of a general character.
Dr. Parkes made the proposal at the concluding session of the Conference on Jewish Life in modern Britain. He also said there was a strong possibility that the 19th Century pattern of anti-Semitism in Europe might be reproduced in Latin America and other places.
Professor Shaul Fish of Jerusalem and Dr. G. Wigodor presented a joint paper in which they said there was a field for research in Zionism particularly in the history of the relationship between the British Government and the British Jewish community during the crucial years of the British mandate in Palestine.
