Noted Jews Arrive Tomorrow for Series of Vital Conferences

A group of outstanding Jewish leaders arrives here from Europe tomorrow on the French liner Ile de France to participate in a series of important conferences which is expected vitally to affect the future of world Jewry.

Heading the group is Neville Laski, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews. Others in the party include Dr. Louis Oungre, director of the Jewish Colonization Association: Dr. Bern-hard Kahn, European director of the Joint Distribution Committee; Dr. Maurice Hetter, American member of the Executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, and Dr. Joseph Rosen, director of the Agrojoint in Soviet Union.

LOCKER HERE WEDNESDAY

Berl Locker, Laborite member of the World Zionist Executive, will arrive Wednesday morning on the Cunard liner Aquitania.

Sir Osmond E. d’Avigdor Goldsmid, president of the Jewish Agency and president of the Jewish Colonization Association, was to have sailed on the He de France, but was prevented at the last moment by illness.

Professor Selig Brodetsky, head of the political department of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, is also on his way to the United States, but is not expected to arrive here in time to sit in on the conferences scheduled for the coming week.
