Finding a number of kosher butchers taking advantage of the Jewish holiday rush to substitute non-kosher for kosher meat, the Retail Kosher Meat Trade Code Authority this week tightened up its inspection, resulting in issuance of summonses to forty-eight kosher butchers to appear, before the Code Compliance Board, according to an announcement by John M. Brunjes, code executive secretary. All of the cases will come up next week.
