The National Recovery Administration has approved arrangements made by the Code Authority of the Fur Manufacturing Industry, permitting those engaged in the industry to make up time lost during the Jewish holidays, on September 10, 11, and 19, it was announced.
Three consecutive Saturdays, September 1, 8, and 15, are being set aside on which to make up time lost during observation of religious celebrations. Jewish furriers may work Sundays, if for religious reasons they prefer not to work Saturdays. Those taking time off will be required to make written application to the code authority for permission to work Sundays.
Jewish workers observing the Feast of the Tabernacle September 24, may gain permission to make up time lost by requesting by letter the special permission of the Code Authority.
