A spokesman for the NRA Poultry Code Authority in New York City yesterday told the Jewish Daily Bulletin that “the legal sanction has finally been placed where it belongs.”
“The industry always wanted Federal inspection, and it is happy that it now has it. This is a great thing for the poultry industry,” he said.
Health Commissioner John L. Rice said:
“The Department of Health is interested in chickens from the health aspect and will continue inspecting poultry from that standpoint.”
