The World Zionist Executive, opening a three-day plenary meeting here today, adopted a resolution calling for a re-examination of the number of Israeli delegates to future World Zionist Congresses. Israel has been assured of an automatic 40 percent of the delegates. The allocation of seats up to now has been on the basis of results of the last Knesset elections and is limited to declared Zionist parties. Both standards are to be revised.
A special committee appointed to revise the constitution has been appointed, headed by Louis Pincus, chairman of the WZO Executive. Moshe Rosetti, former Knesset clerk, will coordinate the committee which will consist of members of the WZO Executive, representatives of Zionist organizations and Zionist federations abroad, and Itzhak Navon, chairman of the Zionist General Council (Actions Committee).
