The number of unemployed academic and professional workers registered with labor exchanges at the end of February dropped sharply from the number in the previous month, the Labor Ministry reported today. The decline was from 732 such jobless employes to 638.
A spokesman said that the sharpest drop among such unemployed was for engineers who have found jobs in government-sponsored work projects. Many such unemployed do not register with labor exchanges.
