Numerous Jewish shops throughout Vienna presented shattered fronts on Yom Kippur as their windows were smashed during the night by vandals suspected of being Nazis.

The belief that Nazis are responsible was lent credence by huge swastika signs painted on the shop fronts.

Considerable damage was wrought to a warehouse, Jawo.

The police hope to trail the vandals through fingerprints discovered on a number of shop fronts.
