A numerus clausus for lawyers was officially announced today in Carpatho-Russia, which will, it is believed, most seriously affect Jews.
The decree provides that lawyers must be honest and reliable and that only as many lawyers will be admitted to practice as the proportion of their national groups to the proportion of their national groups to the population of the district permits.
