Following completion of the Arab Legion’s evacuation of the southern end of the so-called Arab triangle, the Wadi Araba road was officially opened today by ceremonial convoys that covered the distance between Hadera and Afula, travelling in both directions. The distance between these two points is now shortened by half, which will mean a substantial reduction in the cost of transporting agricultural produce between the two settlements.
