A charge of anti-Semitism has been lodged against Dr. Walter Becher, chairman of the policy committee of the Munich Broadcasting Station, and the accusations has been coupled with a demand for Dr. Becher’s removal from his post.
Dr. H. Muller-Meiningen here has alleged publicly that, in 1938, Dr. Becher had written an anti-Semitic article which appeared in an organ of the Nazi Party, attacking a Jewish author. Dr. Becher today replied against the accusation without, however, denying that he had written such an article. He said merely that his accuser is “discriminating” against him and that the information regarding the 1938 anti-Semitic writing had come from “the Communist underground.”
