Officials with the Conservative movement in Israel said they will continue to seek legal recognition of their conversions, although all the adopted children mentioned in a petition currently before the Supreme Court have since undergone Orthodox conversions. Their comments came after the last adopted child whose parents had filed the petition was converted by an Orthodox rabbi last week. The petition was initially filed several years ago on behalf of the children, who initially underwent Conservative conversions.
