Officials with the Jerusalem municipality are drafting a plan for the city that would divide it into boroughs. Some of the boroughs would include areas currently under the civilian control of the Palestinian Authority, according to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz. Earlier this week, reported plans to extend the city’s boundaries westward drew opposition from the residents of suburbs that could be affected.
