I. L. Feuer was elected president of Mahoning Lodge No. 339, B’nai B’rith, at the annual meeting last night, succeeding Atty. Morris Mendelssohn who will retire when the new officers are installed on Jan. 4.
Other officers named were: Jack Levy, vice-president; I. M. Hollander, financial secretary; I. Smigelsky, recording secretary; Sam Belkin, treasurer; Morris Mendelssohn, monitor; Jack Malkoff, ass’t monitor; A. W. Cohen, warden and Max Stone, guardian.
Mendelssohn, Louis Regenstreich, and Max A. Myerovich, were appointed delegates to the district No. 2. grand lodge session next year.
After the lodge meeting the International AZA Day celebration was held and a class of 125 young men were inducted into the B’nai B’rith Junior Order. The class was called the Morris Mendelssohn Class, honoring the present lodge head.
Rabbi Carl Manello was the principal speaker, extolling the high ideals of the Junior and Senior B’nai B’rith.
