An agreement to give older workers preference for jobs in public institutions was signed here today by the Histadrut, Israel’s Labor Federation, and the Israel Labor Ministry.
The agreement, designed to aid absorption of middle-aged immigrants, applies to men ever 45 and women over 40. Preference will apply if the older applicants have the same qualifications as younger workers.
