Olga Gleizer of Sao Paulo was elected to a three-year term as president of Pioneer Women at its recent convention here. The convention focussed on the need for Jewish women in Brazil to take a more active part in local community life. Some 300 delegates from 50 Pioneer Women chapters in eight cities attended the convention. According to Geula Havkin, president of the World Federation of Pioneer Women, the organization in Brazil has more than 6000 members, the third largest after those in the United States and Canada.
