The British Olympic Association today categorically denied reports published abroad that it was temporarily suspending public and private appeals for funds with which to send a British team to the Berlin Olympics next Summer. The reports arose as a result of the uncertain situation precipitated by Reichsfuehrer Hitler’s repudiation of the Locarno treaty and remilitarization of the Rhineland.
An appeal issued by the British Olympic Council Saturday stated that no Briton, whatever his origin or persuasion, need have any hesitation in approving support given by the council to the games.
