Omaha Lodge No. 354 of the B’nai B’rith elebrated the forty-fifth anniversary of its organization’s first activity in this city at a banquet at the Blackstone Hotel on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gottfried D. Bernstein of Chicago and Abe Shaw of Kansas City, Mo., were the guests of honors and principal speakers at the banquet.
About four hundred men and women attended the banquet. Besides the visitors the speakers of the evening were Harry Lapidus, in whose honor a new class of members was named, and Sam Beber, who was toastmaster.
The class of new members initiated on the occasion included over one hundred and twenty-five men, the largest class ever to be initiated in the forty-five years of local B’nai B’rith history.
