One hundred and twenty-two American Jewish university students are spending their winter vacation learning about the land and people of Israel as participants in a 10-day study mission that ends January 2 sponsored by the United Jewish Appeal, it was announced by Frank R. Lautenberg. UJA general chairman. The group, which includes a Black Jew from Kent State University in Ohio, the editor of the Harvard University “Crimson,” and large delegations from colleges in Los Angeles. Philadelphia and New York City areas, is the largest student mission in UJA history. Lautenberg said. Most participants are leaders in UJA campus campaigns.
