Beth Tfiloh Congregation, one of Baltimore’s largest, announced plans today to build a new synagogue, school and community center on a 58 acre plot in suburban Pikesville.
The $2, 000, 000 structure will include 20 classrooms and a 1, 500-seat sanctuary. The main auditorium will serve as a banquet hall and theater. Situated next to the synagogue kitchens, it will seat 600 for dinner or 1, 200 for other occasions. The synagogue has been at its present location for 41 years.
