Ontario Government Starts Campaign Against Racial Discrimination

The Government of Ontario has taken the initiative “in a program of publicity and education designed to aid in overcoming racial discrimination.” Announcement to this effect was made in the Speech from the Throne read at the opening of the Parliament of the province.

The Speech from the Throne stated that the legislature will be asked to approve the setting up of a special commission to integrate the activities of the various anti-discrimination laws and to carry out the educational program.
