Over $55,000 in initial subscriptions was reported at the meeting at the Lyric Theatre last night launching the Allied Jewish Emergency Campaign in Baltimore. The drive for the relief purposes of the Joint Distribution Committee and for the rebuilding of Palestine, will last one week and will seek a hundred thousand dollar quota. Rabbi Morris S. Lazaron is chairman of the appeal. Morris Rothenberg, president of the Zionist Organization of America, and Dr. Solomon Lowenstein, of New York, delivered the principal addresses at the meeting.
